Service Description

🐾 Experienced Gundog Class For retrievers with a solid foundation in gundog work This course is designed for retriever breeds only and is ideal for dogs and handlers who have already mastered the basics and are ready to progress toward the more advanced skills outlined in The Gundog Club’s Grade 3 and 4 — or who are preparing for working tests. At this level, we focus on refining control, distance handling, and consistency in the face of distractions. You and your dog will work through a variety of exercises that require teamwork, precision, and calm confidence — all using Dogitivity’s reward-based, relationship-first approach. ✅ Skills we’ll develop include: • Reliable off-lead heelwork • Steadiness to dummies and shot • Retrieving marks, memories, and blinds • Stopping at a distance on the whistle • Directional control with confidence • Hunting skills behind spaniels or in cover • Blind retrieves in varied terrain • Responding reliably in woodland, water, cover, and pasture Expect a mix of pre-planned training setups and real-life-style challenges, including walk-ups, water work, and retrieves in cover — all designed to stretch your skills and deepen your communication as a team.
